My son's favorite thing to do in Amsterdam is to visit the Huttendorp in the Jeugtland playground. He shows up, they give you a hammer, nails and a saw and off he goes to play around with wood and build something.

Today I was asked to talk at a mentoring event for people preparing an application for the ERC. Of course I spend some time on how I prepared for the successful application. However most of the time I spend on the times when it did not work out, grant was rejected.
