It is funny that this person thinks “immigrants defended the union while native born whites sought to destroy it in the name of slavery” is an argument against immigrants being Americans. This is precisely the point, nothing about being born here makes you better bsky.app/profile/aphc...

Another datapoint for the fascist radicalisation of institutional pillars of much of the American Right

The First Amendment bars the government from retaliating against disfavored speech. TechFreedom filed comments opposing efforts to deny ABC's license renewals, arguing the FCC lacks the legal & constitutional authority to force early renewals or revoke its broadcast licenses. tinyurl.com/yken9y85

A key Senate committee vote next week won't include AI, but there's a stupid "porn" age verification bill. Why the SCREEN Act is worth your attention: 👉 Age verification required for ANY "interactive computer service" that makes adult content available 👉 IP address verification 👉 VPN restrictions

Rewatching the first season of Heroes for the first time ever, and holy damn is it as good as I remember. Among many other things, it's a rare case of a thoroughly serialized full 22-episode season— no X-Files/ Buffy style monsters of the week, no DS9 wacky adventures with Ferengi...

The DNC is a perpetual mess because it’s powerless and irrelevant, not vice versa. The American party system is so hollowed out it predictably does not attract the ambitious and competent, nor is the rational place for donors to put their money. The RNC has money because it’s a slush fund for Trump.

Democratic National Committee is horribly struggling. Republican National Committee is sitting on nearly $130 million. While DNC is $2 million in debt. Bad management of DNC but also another sign that the energy in the Dem base is for change--not the establishment. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/26/u...
