It sucks to see the main devs behind Archipelago going full mask-off pro-AI. I had friends who wanted to help me get into and run AP randomizer runs, but this just makes me not want to do anything of the sort.

Lots of the same names here because I didnt scroll massively far, but some examples here. I saw other archipelago users complain about the AI chud vibe, and the announcement channel acknowledge the flood of AI slop that doesnt even work.

"This is not the place to debate AI morals" in that final image, from who I assume is a mod/dev/whatever for Archipelago. *Any* place that sees AI use or any level of AI acceptance is the place to debate AI morals. Because it is objectively a terrible thing. You don't agree? Too bad.

I checked the discord, and yeah, straight up people encouraging to not disclose AI usage to not get shit for it. "Hide the poop knife you used for the sandwiches you serve everyone, otherwise people will complain you made them eat poop"
