I know librarians try to refrain from being arbiters of taste—but the ego boost I received from our regular front desk lady where I recommended a book to her that was so good, the rest of the librarians read it in record time.

At the point in this shitshow where baby raccoons are coming onto my front porch to drink the planter water. (It’s easier to run from than the bird bath.) Their anxious eyes ask me not to be a narc. (Don’t be a narc. Their habitat is being destroyed and so is yours tbh.)
