Trump ordered the National Park Service to spend $5 million on a project to paint four horse statues using 23.75-karat gold leaf. This money was intended to maintain our national parks, but instead it’s being spent on gold paint for statues.

It's much, much easier and more emotionally gratifying to divide into tribes where the only demand on your creativity is finding new ways to express how awful the other tribe is, than to build a society that works for everyone. We've got both going on now, which explains some of the frustration.
