Marauders Inc (formerly Trick Raiders?) had the hallmark dilemmas of other great trick-takers. You must divide your hand into lead (public) and follow cards (private), with rank abilities that can help you cement a lead or claw back a victory. In a group with mixed experience, we all enjoyed it.

*whispers* you know we can do this cultural debate about art thing all the time, right? Websites and news organizations used to have culture critics on staff whose entire job was writing about books, movies, and TV. People read them and then discussed them. We have the technology to do this again.

My BlueSky exists for - long 18th century (1660-1835) nerds - analog game nerds As usual my Honorary Aca-Sib* is playing right in the weird center of that Venn Diagram, & made a vicious game I thoroughly enjoyed cursing at. YMMV. *we almost were in the same PhD program as we discovered this year

Today we’re posting the prelaunch page for our next game: the second edition of An Infamous Traffic. There is so much to say about this game, and we’ll be talking about it quite a bit in the coming months, but I wanted to provide a little background here. 🧵 www.kickstarter.com/projects/col...

I am proud to have made six pretty good games this year so far. I arbitrarily decided to do a game a month. In May, my burnout should’ve been a warning sign. I am not doing a game a month anymore. The self-imposed pressure is stifling my actual creativity. Tbh: I’m trying too hard. Now I’m free :)

Got myself a set of actual real knuckle bones. I wanna see if I can't make a game with these, and if not I'll at least have an interesting set of ancient style d4s.

A set of five ankle bones sourced from sheep. Historically, these have been used both as dice for games, as jacks, and for cleromancy.
