The whole point of digital is to facilitate duplication, distribution and storage of products, not to remove customers rights. There’s a thing called DRM-free version where you do in fact own it as long as you keep it safe.

Now that I’ve had a day to process it, I think I can say: Coyote vs Acme will be one of the year’s 5 best films, no question. It respects what made the OG cartoons great. Improves on them by bringing them up to date, giving them an emotional core, and a clear-eyed reflection of current reality.
Some friends are teaching their baby ASL as an early bridge to speech and they made the mistake of teaching her “want” as a concept. Now she wanders around the house signing “want” all the time as an expression of unfocused desire. They fucked up and made the baby invent the opposite of Buddhism.
On this final #PSBlackout day I present 100+ Physical PS Games but more importantly 100 good memories. Unwrapping a gift. A package on the porch. Passionate Small talk with store owners. Cosplay compliments from a con vendor. Some of these games disappointed, but receiving them never did.

I put NMH3 on my Xmas list without knowing much about it. I got the Day One edition. Did I want an art book, soundtrack and more for a game I haven’t played? Well I loved it, and all the Suda51 games I’ve played since. The only Digital PS5 game I have is RiaDM and I need it physical. #PSBlackout

Xbox games on a PlayStation. When my Hi-Fi Rush pre-order came I thought “Xbox is so stupid, they’d saw off their legs for a short term profit” That’s still true but now applies to Sony as well. Many indie physical releases had a PS version but not Xbox, it was one of its strengths #PSBlackout

I was talking about my interest in playing Gravity Rush with a long distance friend. A week later a package showed up with this GR2 inside. I noticed it was PEGI but I had failed to notice it was the Nordic region box for a good month. We had a good laugh about “Bryt Gravitasjonsloven” #PSBlackout

When Usagi was announced as DLC for Shredder’s Revenge I was hyped. I got a used copy of the base game shortly before they announced the upgraded disc. I traded in the first game and used the credit to pre-order the new one. While it meant waiting, I got the Rabbit Ronin on the cover. #PSBlackout

The PS3 was the first Xmas console for me and my brother along with these games. He did a lot of the heavy lifting in LBP2 but a bad jump left me alone late into the final boss battle. I managed to stay alive and land the final blow. While this isn't that PS3 these are those games. #PSBlackout

The #PSBlackout begins tomorrow for one week in protest against Sony ending physical disc production. Many fellow physical collectors are realistic, and it's a protest of principle. Lot of silly takes online - I don't know why you'd be angry about a pro-consumer movement! 🤷♂️
