To be clear, the study Doug Ford cited today to justify his (ill-advised) decision to close supervised consumption sites in Ontario is not from the University of Alberta. It's from an Alberta government crown corporation.

In the last month, Edmonton had its highest, third-highest and fifth-highest EMS dispatches for opioid poisonings on record. EMS dispatches correlate closely with deaths. Saskatoon is going through the same, despite SK adopting the "Alberta model." You can't fix a poisoned supply w/ treatment. 1/
