We don't have to design our education system around maximising academic results to evidence in international comparison tables. We can prioritise all children feeling comfy, happy, safe and welcomed for what they bring to the table. Just like the Salamanca Statement at the top of this thread says. ☺️

There doesn't seem to be any notion from the DfE that they might need children and families to consent to being test subjects for this stuff, especially given the known harms. I find it alarming and I suspect young people might push back.
