lol i just remembered again one of my early freeware games where i didnt know about arrays yet so i stored everything in its own global variable like "level1completed = false, level2complete = false, level3complete..."

imagining a better world, a more equitable one, where sports participation also happens to be a true leisure activity rather than a crucial step toward college admission / financial stability. disentangling life outcomes from ability or proficiency at sport seems like it could only be a good thing?

This is similar to the phrase "there's no ethical consumption under capitalism," which has been perverted from its original meaning. It's NOT an excuse to buy whatever you want because "lol nothing matters." When people say this they are making an excuse for themselves to keep doing the shitty thing

Reminder for everyone - the CEO of ModRetro is Palmer Luckey, who is a war profiteer (1), AI weapons manufacturer (2), fascist surveillance state supporter (3), genocide enthusiast (4), and pedophilia supporter (5). Supporting ModRetro means you're supporting fascism. Sorry, that's just the truth.

Years in the making, I finally have a working prototype of my Camera GBD-M2 (previously shared as Game Boy Camera M2). A sequel to the Game Boy Camera M1, this new redesign uses original Game Boy Pocket & Game Boy Camera chips into a camera-like shape roughly the same size as the Ricoh GR III.

Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?! is a dumb game but I will support any game that allows me to commit vehicular mayhem to support muscular women in armor

Someone took this footage from our digital archive earlier this week and reuploaded it YouTube without attribution. Wow where did that cool video come from!!! So we uploaded it ourselves at higher quality. C'mon, people

By popular demand: we clipped the public reveal of Banjo-Kazooie from Anthony Parisi's E3 1997 video! This footage (narrated by NOA's Ken Lobb) predates the release of the game by a whole year.

This is peak both sides bullshit, because bike lane opponents don't care about "creating safe streets for everyone." They care about parking and being able to speed. And they draw false equivalences between drivers and bikers that car-brained pundits like Joan Venocchi lap up eagerly. Such garbage.

What should not be lost in the emotion of the moment is the need for balance and openness to different points of view when it comes to creating safe streets for everyone. The perception that both were lacking under Wu gave Kraft an opportunity on the bike lane issue. While he was never able to capitalize on it beyond the loud cheers he got for mentioning it at his announcement, he did force Wu to acknowledge there is more than one side to the bicycle lane debate. It’s the side of businesses that say they lose customer parking spaces to bike lanes as well as the side of pedestrians who dodge people on bicycles, e-bikes, and scooters who ignore red lights and other rules of the road.

Another day, another 💩 anti-bike editorial, this time in the Globe @gravelinfluencer.bsky.social Absolutely fact-free Joan Vennochi screed that says Vision Zero is unpossible and bikers choose their own deaths 😡 LET THEM KNOW THIS IS TRASH letter@globe.com www.bostonglobe.com/2026/07/22/o...)

today in Rewarding Moronic Marathon Behavior: I accidentally went in to a Trios match on Dire Marsh Night with an empty kit but picked up a gun off a UESC and ultimately wiped 2/3rds of a squad and ex-filled with a decent [for a beginner] kit (+14 K wallet balance total).
