fwiw your host is the one who will be applying the php patch! you yourself should have just your wordpress etc updated so you'll be running on the correct version of php, that's all that should be required of you. check your host's status page, they'll be addressing it right now

BTW the numbers above are what I get. I'm grandfathered in on slightly better rates than many on Patreon because I signed up in 2014. But that makes it all the more important to make sure as much of your money as possible is going where you want it to.

So if you do have an extra 30% to spare when you're doing a Patreon signup, maybe just use the website and voluntarily pay that much more than the tier, and keep a music podcaster in records or a furry artist in pens. Or just keep the money yourself, because you likely also need it more than Apple.

Apple made $416.2 billion in the last fiscal year. Now, this may astound you, but among the podcasters, fetish artists, bloggers, and web cartoonists on Patreon, many did not make *even a single billion* last year. I know, I was shocked too.

I cannot stress this enough. If you pledge on my $1 tier through the website, you pay $1, I get about 85c, Patreon and the card processors get about 15c. If you pledge on the same tier through the iOS app, you pay $1.30 and Apple get the extra thirty cents.
