You'll hear a lot of talk about school absenteeism. But they won't mention anything about long Covid which is now the most prevalant chronic illness in children. They won't even mention illness at all. Even as your child is sick yet again in the current completely ignored Covid surge #FineFail

Here's today's column on the astonishing, ongoing mistreatment of people with #ME/CFS. Please spread it far and wide: the only thing which can break the media's wall of indifference is seeing an article about the issue go viral. Thank you. 1/2 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Abandoned, dismissed and gaslighted: there is no excuse for the way ME sufferers have been betrayed | George Monbiot
Changes in guidance and science seem to have little impact on millions of devastated lives. It’s a social crisis playing out behind closed doors, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

"This is the opposite of how science ought to work." George Monbiot on those pushing "false and dangerous" cures for #MECFS, "entrenched" in their beliefs and doubling down rather than admit the "great harm" to the lives of thousands of people.

Indoor Air 2026: Yik Chirt Teoh Modeled portable air cleaner placement in a neonatal room. The overall particle reduction ranges from 40-60%. The best location was the center of the room. Interesting, placing the air cleaner under a table did not degrade the performance.

Long COVID is an existential threat to all of the psychiatrists who have loudly attached themselves to pseudoscientific explanations for the illness. I've been saving quotes and have some funny (horrifying) ones, that I think are important to preserve for historical accuracy.

6% of infections lead to long Covid so.. luckily there were only 2500 infections in Ireland...and it stopped in 2021
Great news! The tiny minority of nurses impacted by long Covid, 150 nurses, will have their sick pay temporarily restored Because they caught Covid at a time when they didn't have protective clothing or the highly effective protocols we have now. That's long Covid sorted then 👍
If you care about school absences and kids' health, dig down into the quoted post here. Their health and education are being sacrificed to protect senior medical managers and politicians from having to face accountability for their ongoing mismanagement of COVID. #MedSky #StandUpForScience #EduSky
The big jump in 2022-2023 school year is in large part due to the mass infection of ALL our children with COVID, followed by frequent reinfection. Now, their immune systems are screwed and significant & growing % have Long COVID. #ontpoli #cdnpoli
OECD report? What OECD report? I didn't hear anything about an OECD report.
They say the oncoming Cicada variant is 5 times more likely to infect kids, but in Ireland the way we like to think of that is: that's 5 times more immunity to the next one so it's a good thing really 👍 www.ndtv.com/health/cicad...
While it is mainly recommended to stay indoors and limit outdoor activity, the air quality indoors isn’t automatically safe. This is where good ventilation & HEPA filters can help The WHO also recommends using FFP2 respirator masks if outdoor exposure is unavoidable www.euronews.com/health/2026/...

5/7 Vaccines reduce Long COVID, which we now know is a major cause of avoidable disability. And given most health systems face workforce crises, why ignore ways of reducing a major cause of sickness absence? Or, put another way, would you reject food safety rules?
