Peace, justice, disarmament. Perpetually sad Bills fan 🦬. Views=mine. “Hopelessness is the enemy of justice."

We agree, General. Cluster munitions are inherently indiscriminate, which is why 112 countries have banned them under the Convention on Cluster Munitions. The US has not joined. Neither have Iran or Israel. We urge all three governments to act on these words and join the ban.

These strikes on Iran are aimed at regime change & there's reports of direct attacks on civilians. Where is the so-called opposition party in the U.S.? Delaying a vote to allow these strikes to happen?? No statement yet from our so-called leader Jeffries. #Iran

Truly so much to say about yesterday’s faith witness on Capitol Hill for immigrant justice. What started out as a plan for 100-200 people ended as a historic event with 2,000 people of faith - worshipping, marching, gathering across from the seat of power to say that the Lord’s word is for JUSTICE.

Trump and Hegseth can’t even justify their $1.5 TRILLION defense budget ask—a staggering $500 BILLION INCREASE. Congress should flat-out reject it.
An unserious request like this invites waste and abuse, and risks blowing up the bipartisan appropriations process altogether.

#BREAKING: 18 Members of Congress, led by @velazquez.house.gov and @ramirez.house.gov and backed by 30+ organizations, introduce a resolution to officially bury the Monroe Doctrine and adopt a Good Neighbor Policy toward Latin America and the Caribbean based on peace and mutual respect.

We at Center for Civilians in Conflict have been closely tracking civilian protection in the US-Nigeria security relationship, and I recently visited our teams in Abuja and Maiduguri digging into civilian protection issues. 1/

Last week the Trump admin agreed to a settlement that requires DOJ to not enforce the ban against devices that function like a forced reset trigger. FRTs essentially turn semiautomatic firearms into machine guns. Read more from @giffords.org: giffords.org/analysis/the...

The Trump Administration Legalized Machine Guns. States Must Respond.

Forced reset triggers drastically increase a firearm’s rate of fire, resulting in a firing rate nearly identical to a machine gun.

Three years ago today, a white supremacist shot and killed 10 people and injured 3 others at a Tops supermarket—the only grocery store in a predominantly Black neighborhood in Buffalo, NY. Our hearts are with the victims, survivors, & their families as we work to disarm hate.

It’s been three years since 10 people went on a grocery run in Buffalo, New York and never made it home. An entire community was torn apart by an armed white supremacist. Racist violence has cost far too many lives in our country, & it must stop. We owe it to the victims & their loved ones to act.

I’m honored to serve as a Commissioner for the @ichrp.net International Observer Mission (IOM) monitoring the 2025 Philippines midterm elections amid rising concerns over electoral violence. Here’s what we’re seeing in the lead-up to tomorrow’s election 👇 (thread)

Musk spent months tearing down government agencies. Now, he's expected to get out of paying at least $2.37 BILLION in fines & other legal liabilities. This has NEVER been about government efficiency. It's always been about the richest man in the world making himself richer.
