With widespread temperatures in 95-105F range, plus very high humidity (dew points mostly 65-70F), heat index/apparent temperatures are now 105-110F across most of SoCal, with pockets of 110-115F. Peak may be a bit higher still later this PM. This humid heatwave is no joke! #CAwx

The ECMWF seasonal ensemble has just updated for September, and it continues to suggest that a soon record-strength El Niño will exert a very strong tilt in the odds toward wet conditions across the U.S. southern tier, including all of California, the Lower Colorado, and SE U.S.
