Thinking of the famous actor who, mid-interview, showed me the pale roots to his (excellent) hair, which he was growing out after dyeing it for a role. That's what actors do: different role, different hair. So — intriguing when a dye job is in the news. What change does it signify?

Horrified by the Silent Appointment option at the salon where I get my hair cut. Sure, quiet can be soothing, but placing a shield of silence between you and the actual person cutting your hair shrieks entitlement in a very give-me-screens-over-humans-any-day kind of way.
