More cops have been arrested for using flock cameras to stalk women than there are transgender athletes in youth sports.

As if we needed another reason to toss FIFA into the sun.
The US host cities for the 2026 men's World Cup claim that they were *verbally* promised $1 million each by Gianni Infantino and that FIFA hasn't paid up. Truly incredible stuff. www.nytimes.com/athletic/749...
“Research about subtyping autism is growing however these ideas remain entirely theoretical. They currently have no clinical value, diagnostic relevance or practical application. We fear that it…may lead to more stigma & discrimination, labels being misinterpreted & jeopardising access to support.”🔥
We'll be The National Autistic Society's Anger Translator: "F*** you, Uta Frith—stop trying to use your expired authority on autism to hurt autistic people, you absolute plonker." *Frith published a new paper wrongly claiming autism is overdiagnosed. NAS response: www.autism.org.uk/what-we-do/n...
Kindergarten?! Are you effing kidding me?!
An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play

Don’t use Copilot, because a malicious worm can propagate (and alter text) in documents and emails that you share with it. Don’t use AI, basically. Ever. The End.

PSA: Any time you see Amy Lutz's name in an autism article, please know that article is going to be pushing myths about " #ProfoundAutism," misdirecting parents from useful approaches, painting parents as martyrs, smacking down self-advocates, &/or claiming assisted communication methods are hoaxes.
I also regret to inform you that exercise helps. With EVERYTHING. A cruel cruel world, indeed. Now brb, I need to go sob into my daily salad.
skyline, i regret to inform you that waking up early and hydrating all day does, in fact, make you feel better. what a cruel world we live in. all *this* going on and i can't even subsist on coffee and cookies like i want to.

I’m so thankful that people are reporting on and pushing back. While we’re doing so, I’d like everyone to: (1) recognize which students and classrooms these robots are deployed in first, and (2) ask why these robots are always made to look like white women.
personally i think it was the local independent journalists at @nysfocus.com who broke this story and the news re: the district’s about face three days ago that were responsible nysfocus.com/2026/07/24/n...
Today’s the 36th anniversary of the ADA and maybe I’m naive, but I think we can live in a world where access doesn’t have to be legislated and a disabled person’s value isn’t determined by their productivity under capitalism and white disabled people aren’t centered and we care for each other.
All of us that live in “one party” consent territory may want to rethink that policy.
Definitionally, these are not “friends.”
“Health disparities” ffs

Truthfully, barring the US from international sport competition may be the only thing that can bring us back from the brink.
The 2028 Olympics should not be held in the US. The World Cup Should Have Been Moved To A County That Has global Dignity and Respect. We have become a pariah around the world because of corruption, lies and racism. Every true American should be infuriated and ashamed. Enough!
We can't prove that unicorns don't exist. So saying that they don't is irresponsible science. Except imagine if there were hundreds of peer-reviewed studies on unicorn detection that had all failed.
CDC has updated its vaccine safety pages. Now says: "The claim 'vaccines do not cause autism' is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism." Whoa #EpiSky #pediatrics #NeuroSky #PsychSky
Our progressive thought-shapers need to stop treating autism and disability as rare and tragic exceptions, instead of commonplace, both now and throughout history. Parents-to-be need to be aware that autism is a possibility they can prepare for, not a tragedy. #autism #parenting #neurodiversity

The modern education system has always prioritized compliance over actual learning. Texas and other red states are just screaming the quiet part out.
“In Texas schools, religious lessons will join an already ideologically influenced curriculum that aims to create a passive student body, workforce, and citizenry. All Texans and all Americans, of any religious or political leaning, should be deeply alarmed.”
Disability rights extend to the immigration system. Section 504 protects accessibility rights of disabled people interacting with USCIS, ICE, CBP, and immigration courts, ensuring reasonable accommodations and equal access. Our new guide these protections: https://bit.ly/4fadGW6
Get rid of tenure…fine…but I don’t think you’re going to like having to double every faculty members salary just to keep pace with private industry.
“We’re not asking for permission to be here. We’re playing.” In February, USA Rugby banned transgender women from competing in women's matches. It was, on paper, a massive blow to the Baltimore Ferals, one of hundreds of teams affiliated with International Gay Rugby. Instead, they kept playing.
*These* are the higher education stories that matter, not some half-assed report farted out by a group of faculty cranks at ivy and ivy-adjacent universities
“Two courses for the fall of 2026 were canceled outright, while several more had to alter their syllabi to comply. Professors teaching those courses told The Chronicle they weren’t provided with any rationale for why their “exception requests” were partially or fully denied.”
