I haven't been into a racing game as I am with Galactic Racer. It really does have the Burnout 3 vibe nailed down and the roguelite element works so well for it.

I wouldn't describe the narrative in Unicorn Overlord as 'good,' but it's so to the point and quick to get you back to the really excellent game part, it's very hard to be too critical of it. It's like it knows its only job is to provide context for the next set piece.

I don't have the funds to play the new games I crave post flat purchase (I'm fine to be clear, 'the fun budget' has just taken a hit.) So been focused on clearing out the backlogg. I'm now on Unicorn Overlord to keep the Fortune's Weave pangs at bay. Man, it's genuinely great!

PSA for Americans: please stop thinking locally about budgets and profits. It’s an international industry with not only wildly divergent costs of living, but entirely different levels of state investment and support. The answer to ‘why is x different in country y?’ is often ‘because country y’
