Still smiling from @bikenewportri.bsky.social Elliot’s Ride! What a joy to see so many people of all ages riding, strolling walking along our coast. Elliot’s Ride for Everyone honors the life and passion of Dr. Elliot Kaminitz – a community member who lost his life riding on Memorial Blvd in 2012.

Transportation is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in #RhodeIsland and in the United States. Bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure is a #climate solution - and an important one. Also means fewer road deaths. And better cities. And healthier populations. I could go on...
