Yes and No. Potential voters have been subject to disrespect, misinformation, restrictions on access that make voting more difficult, not to mention various individual circumstances that make it difficult. BUT - we have an obligation to select the best government within our (limited) power.

I'm sorry, but to win future elections, you need a good chunk of the people who sat out in 2016 or 2024 to vote for you, and I just don't think that sneering at them and saying it's their fault that things are the way they are right now is going to win them over, even if you truly believe it

A number of local politicians and leaders - by no means all from the left - are also concerned about this development. Again, I really can’t overemphasize how destabilizing it would be for this agencies to throw in with the federal terror squad.
One useful side effect of the lawless action in Venezuela: it seems to be acting like a new imaging technique, letting us see inside Democrats (and other) officeholders. The reaction helps us understand who has lost the plot or places popularity above their oath to the Constitution.

During my time on Trump's National Security Council, I reviewed a lot of calls between Trump and foreign leaders. One of, of course, was the call with President Zelenskyy. Another was with Trump and Mohammed bin Salman.

If this is true (AIPAC using apparent subterfuge to obscure donations they have spurred) it is very problematic! I would say the same thing for any other organizations regardless of the cause. Campaign funding needs to be transparent.

At the appropriate time, we'll lay out what the plan is, but there's a plan and President Trump will be the president in '28."
I am a bit slow, but it's now official -- I believe that those Democrats who more vigorously oppose Zohran Momdani than the Trump Administration (1) don't understand the nature of the threat and (2) can't be relied upon to protect democracy from the radical behavior of this administration.
In these times when democracy is under attack, I realize how important it is to vote in all available elections at the local, state, and national levels. I haven't voted in local school district elections, but found out I am already registered due to voting in state elections and need only show up!

Even as a semi-informed person of a certain age, I had no idea how frequent elections are throughout the US. IMO, as a primary defense of democracy, we should be highlighting upcoming elections and encouraging people to vote! No matter how small, the habit of voting matters. See @ballotpedia.org
