American families are complicated. I’m a Mayflower descendent on my mother’s side but my grandfather on my Dad’s side was a French Canadian immigrant in the 1930s who first crossed illegally into Maine. Then came back and eventually naturalized.

So apparently RFK Jr has been the one holding up funding for GAVI the vaccine alliance which among other things was trying to support testing for new Ebola vaccines for the variant that is now circulating in the DRC. Why RFK Jr is entrusted with influence on this is beyond me. Kick him to the curb.
