The TCG Tournament Rules Handbook has been updated. Going forward, in top cut of tournaments (including League Cups), players don't flip a coin to choose who goes first. Instead, the higher seed chooses if they go first or second in game 1.

Extract from the TCG Tournament Rules Handbook:
"In single-elimination top cut matches, the higher-seeded player in the single-elimination bracket has the choice of going first or second in Game 1 of their match. This decision is made at the same point during setup that the coin flip would take place."
