a random thought that occurred to me about a show I haven't watched in years: shouldn't the fact that Lorelai and/or Rory stand to inherit the Gilmore family fortune have come up at least once in 8 seasons?

Ewing's THOR run started in a somewhat muted fashion, especially in comparison to IMMORTAL HULK, and it never really attained that "the one Marvel book you have to be reading" status that that book did. But Tegan's right--it's easily the best book Marvel's publishing.

it cannot be stressed enough: Mortal Thor is Marvel’s best, every month, and it’s a yawning chasm between this and #2 (formerly Ultimate X-Men, probably now FF). Tales of Asgard has always been the franchise’s Achilles’ Heel - necessary, rarely filling - now consistently jaw-droppingly astounding.

The Mortal Thor #13, cover by Alex Ross. Magni has a bad time on the throne. I just checked, he’s a Dan Jurgens character, from the excellent back half of Jurgens’ rather voluminous run on Thor. Not a character I expected to love in 2026, and yet such is Ewing’s magic.

All the Fauci stuff is a modern day version of the POW/MIA stuff after Vietnam - a way to try to rewrite the history of a huge failure of conservative ideology to be instead a story about how liberals and foreigners stabbed us in the back.
