Stumbled across "Wuthering Heights Day" on the Rec and it was bloomin' marvellous. Rehearsals for the main event. Many happy "Kates" and a lovely day for it 😊❤️ Might dig out my red dress next year and join in. #Stratters

Retired radio bod. Loves snow, a good wood stack, The Ionian and pootling in the garden. Proud spectacles wearer.
Possibly the greatest local news story Im going to see this year, and it’s only March
First up the mountain this morning and after quite a few days of fog and swirling freezing mists it was an absolute belter. #Austria
Nice dollop of new snow overnight. Make the pegs on the washing line really zing this morning. #Austria
Bit of an epic 6 hour hike with sis in law and Mr C today. Didn’t intend for it to take that long but we were waylaid at a local hostelrie and let’s face it the best days are the ones you don’t plan. Anyway thank heavens for water butts with mugs just when you need them most 😊 #Austria
Morning. Another corker of a day. Blue sky and a whiff of Spring. Not great for the schnee but very good for the soul. #Austria
My favourite sight today was a snowboarder wearing an inflatable sumo wrestler suit. He shot past me at high speed and as my brain tried to compute what I'd witnessed I just sat down mid turn laughing loudly. Carnival. It's a strange beast.
Carnival week here. Bit hectic. Finding quiet spots away from the madding crowd. The “plank bench” a favourite stop even though there’s much less schnee than in January. Can’t fault the weather though. Glorious. #Austria
I love watching Dave Ryding tackle the slalom. Even more so when he absolutely smashes it and is in first place. For now. He deserves to keep that spot - oh, to have a knee action and still body as good as his. Holding my breath until the last skier has skied. #AlpineWorldChampionships
Proper fat flake schnee today and the back garden is transformed. About time. Should have a smashing few final days of this trip. #Austria
BBC Scotland reports on today’s school closures for Storm Éowyn.
Cracking day off the beaten track to the village of a thousand wood stacks. Not a cloud in the sky. Enough schnee not to damage the planks. Birdsong, midday church bells, a lunch it will be hard to beat this year 😊
The trees are in their bridal finery. Such a glorious day. On top of the world and feeling rather blessed. #Austria
Crikey. All this mountain air must be doing wonders for my brain. 🤓 Wordle 1,304 2/6 ⬜🟨⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
Giving the planks a rest today. Went for a wander up the road behind our place, home to many a fine wood stack 😊 #Austria
Couldn’t see much up the mountain this morning but the quiet and stillness after last night’s windy blanketing is just lovely. Sitting on the balcony now, wrapped up warm and savouring the hush. #Austria
Made it to our bolthole for the next month. Bit of an epic drive but mustn’t moan too much about freezing rain and snow when we left our overnight stay near Frankfurt this morning as seems a lot of the UK also sampling that delight. Anyway it’s grand to be back in lovely Austria 😊
Not sure how the swans can see anything in the depths of the murky Avon but there must be something tasty down there. Much bottoming up on the river this morning. I do love seeing their little legs from this angle.
I also bumped into colleague of old @hammondweather.bsky.social round the corner from Marylebone Station which was a lovely brief encounter. Me heading home, he off to do the Late Shift on Radio 4. Bad Luck, John. I occasionally miss things about the old life but that isn't one of them!
Rarely out after dark these days but walking home from the station this evening I passed this splendid old street lamp near the church. Pressed all the wrong buttons for night mode on my iPhone camera and ended up with “stage light”. Seems fitting for #Stratters and I rather like the effect. 🤷♀️
For the first time on Bluesky, here is the traditional outing for Frank Skinner on Colin Jackson's notorious showdance #strictly
