for the consideration of the linguist council, I propose a temporary ban on the phrase “popcorn movie/book.” my reasoning: -it keeps getting applied to stories that people refuse to do the bare minimum of introspection on, so they just pass them off as stupid -popcorn is tasty

Just found out Keigo Higashino passed away, his Detective Kaga series is one of my favorites. such a loss for the mystery fiction world ): only 4 of the books have been translated to English (starting with Malice, which i think is technically the 3rd book in the series) and I highly recc all of them
