This is a special situation many might not have but because I was in such an old gas car my total yearly car payments for my Bolt are less than I was spending yearly on heavy maintenance and system rebuilds in my gas car I also have access to a free $0 slow charger

people really sleep on the must lower cost of ownership piece. yeah most EVs are pretty expensive to buy but the savings is thousands per year

I got the estimate a few weeks ago and a call to look for it a few days ago. Nearly $1800 which I think might be a quote for a hardwired unit and maybe a service upgrade? No itemization on anything so unclear what's included and the team also didn't mention anything about the previz for my HOA

I had an electrician over today! We test-fit the EVSE that came with my car (Chevy-label Ampure Go 1, 23ft) and it was a much better fit than I thought. Enough that a 25ft portable unit will probably reach hanging off a 6-20 hanging on the panel.

WARNING: hackers now show prompts like this to trick you into installing malware on your computer. It’ll show different instructions depending on if you’re on Mac, Linux or Windows. Needless to say, never-fucking-EVER follow instructions that tell you to access your terminal or command prompt.

Screenshot of a prompt claiming to be from an app or service called “SafeLink”. It asks the visitor to prove they’re human by opening their system terminal then pasting and executing a “token” which is actually a command that wil download and install malware to the system.

I couldn't care less about TB's share price, my guy. What I DO care about is a serious problem in public health. Nobody wants to cooperate with authorities to find where outbreaks came from! Because the person/company/country that's the most helpful & finds the problem? ALWAYS GETS BLAMED FOR IT.

Since there's an ongoing all-of-society effort to protect Taco Bell's share price I am forced to ask, "REALLY GOOD" relative to what or whom? Which fast good company are you pretending to shame about their lack of product tracing acumen?

A quick word on Taco Bell: That's where we found the suspected lettuce, and it's not bc Taco Bell is gross. It's bc Taco Bell is REALLY GOOD at tracing product! Keeping track of exactly where they got their ingredients, & exactly what restaurants each shipment of ingredients went to!

Taco Bell has only ever wanted the best (crunchwrap supreme) for us. Taco Bell has only ever wanted us to thrive (eat crunchwrap supremes). I will never stop loving Taco Bell.

I think one reason data center outrage is so pronounced is people spent decades recycling and composting and otherwise scrimping to offset energy use and protect clean water, and the second we hit an inflection point for cheap electricity the banking industry said we’re taking all of it, fuck you
