Yup, just going to keep saying it, it's Blackberry and Palm for carmakers that continue to lobby against healthier kids and EVs and deliberately delayed their EV investments by generations and decades to accelerate the sale of war juice mobiles.
EV outlays, incentives broadside Subaru as profit falls 44% in latest quarter
We need to stop all new nuclear and rapidly wind down existing. It's just way too much money being deliberately drafted away from renewables.
TFW you can't build EVs fast enough b/c climate change
WFH is such an incredible INCREDIBLE tool to fight climate change and improve people's lives. It should be a mandatory option for any desk job!
I saw @briesmith.xyz do a thread on 20 things and it sounds like a great way to start the day. 1. My phone is more powerful than any computer 20 years ago. 2. Unlimited calls & texts are standard features 3. Work from home is expected in many fields 4. EVs exist 5. Solar power for residentials use

Kia’s electric van is crushing it in Europe with a 37% share of small EV van sales
Neat! Look how rapidly the world advances while the U.S. press hyper focuses on a $60k IONIQ 5 competitor and still born EV compact truck. Wild. Pathetic really at this point.
First sodium-ion electric mining truck (676 kWh) delivered in China.
In theory, this is surely the end of the road for Lucid once you’ve spooked customers with the idea that the company is unstable, it’s just a death spiral from here

The train has left the U.S. station. Renewables EVs AI End of this decade we’re just going to be living in a husk of our former nation, everything dismantled by republicans and China and the rest of the world having passed us by. That’s already done. Republicans have made certain we’re f*cked.
Yeah, so, it's EVs. You need great, affordable, globally competitive EVs to survive. You need to have focused on them a decade ago, to survive. Honda, will not, survive. 🙃
Honda targets European sales growth with strategy focused on profitability over volume
Continuing the trend of Toyota EVs not being very good: “Just doesn’t quite get it right and most of that comes down to the underpinnings which feel outdated.”

Good to see MKBHD ripping into the piss-poor Lexus ES EV. Far too many American reviewers fawn over substandard American market offerings and fail to give context about precisely how bad they are youtu.be/QQ97R1nhq4M?...
You know, like slate delivery and *affordable R2* - notice the trend? Anyways, EV3 hits dealers next month, you know, competent car company regularly releasing lots of EVs globally yearly.
Lucid’s smaller Cosmos SUV, slated for 2026, has been pushed back to 2027
@elliotrhys.com checks out the Ford Bronco EV which launched as Chinese market but will be exported by ford elsewhere just not the U.S., unlike half of Lincoln’s lineup which will be Chinese next year. Man, Ford is offshoring a TON of stuff while shrinking their U.S. lineup 🤪

Because nothing brings a great vehicle to market, especially sports car, like totally inconsistent gestation, ala the MKII NSX. Pass. Anywho, what's Hyundai got cooking after the IONIQ 6 N? I like world beating, game changing, enthusiasts EVs with a deliberate and cogent development cycle?
New Porsche boss says electric 718 is still coming, Taycan isn’t going anywhere
@d2lo.bsky.social I may be getting solar sooner than I anticipated, might as well put that balcony to use!
I talked about it in my newsletter a few months ago and got a very detailed email from an electrician out in Oregon who installs balcony solar. He said that it is more complicated than that and there are some code changes that need to happen in the US to make it safe and widespread. Interesting!
This is the **Idaho** guard randomly arresting dissenters in Washington DC. It’s dishonest for media to just keep calling it a “deployment” at this point. You can’t have-wave away the social dynamics and historical implications of Idaho violently occupying DC.
"Get away from me right now," King, a retired U.S. Army captain who served in Iraq and earned both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star, can be heard telling the three male guard members in the video as they approach her on the bench. "You have absolutely no authority to detain me."
This is the single issue that drives my voting.
My editor asked me to write about what happened to summer:
From the party that brought you the Flint Michigan debacle. Republicans are the greatest threat America faces.

It really begs the question what obfuscation the nihilist death cult GOP will have when everyone’s seeing family and friends impacted by climate castrophes every year and that’s their only voting issue. 🤔 Caption mentioned last day to vote in WA primary, love folks linking inaction to politics!
So awesome! If you're state isn't already planning on bi-directional curbside and apartment EV charging, get involved, vote, and ask why you're behind California and the rest of the world in preparing for a vibrant, renewable, electric future!
There's a CEC funded project to do that, which another OEM had to drop out of, so since we're not letting up they asked us to fill in! Multi-tenant has been at the top of my list for awhile just waiting for the right opportunity. Hopefully a deployment next year! www.energy.ca.gov/filebrowser/...
“There’s a lot of noise about how hard it is to get everyday folks” - noise emitted from the blog posts author on many occasions. It’s wild that folks writing content for EV advocacy outlets are surprised how easy EVs are, my folks are on their 70’s, only have had EVs for years, it’s not hard.
An awesome read from @gaytonausa.bsky.social on @insideevs.com With a plug where they park, even rural low DCFC density places can be an easy EV experience these days. (For even more rural areas where gas stations are some distance away, it could be even easier) insideevs.com/features/803...
Moved up from San Diego and already have Watch Duty on my phone with my home set in Portland for alerts. Mt. Hood is a ways away, but may be prudent for fellow Portlanders to download and get familiar with the App during this super El Niño.
The Level 3 ‘GO NOW’ evacuation order for Mt. Hood Meadows is due to the Grasshopper Fire that has started to move west. 🔥
Climate Catastrophe is the greatest threat our species faces, we've got to do everything we can personally, as a city, state and country to mitigate our impacts, even if it means abandoning some dinosaur hobbies, or embracing less convenient options. Time's up.
We're not going to stop climate change unless we phase out fossil fuels.
RE: U.S. out of missiles, that and it allows GOP to cut more and more from American families because, shucks, we're out of missiles.
Well, at least it was for a completely lawless and pointless cause.
Call me crazy, but if a Democratic president had 350 accounts closed by their bank for money laundering it’d be more than a blip in the media
Australia passes 500,000 home battery unit milestone! It's deploying 2,000 home batteries per day! Australia is already ~50% to its home battery goal of 1 million by 2030! It now has 13 GWh of home storage. Home solar & batteries can reshape grids! www.msn.com/en-us/money/... #energysky
Outstanding! The Climate Catastrophe is here, it's going to get worse every day, we need all the great, affordable electrified options we can get as a species for our sake and that of our children.
More than 2 million electric cars have been exported from China since the start of 2026, but only 2/3 of these have been sold Together with unsold exports from previous months, this leaves over 1 million electric cars available for sale in global markets: iea.li/4pPLITc
It's not hard when you're controlling parent company is apathetic and you don't sell many at all. But hey, for folks who need permission from a carmaker to upgrade to an EV, there's a path.

€38,200, 450 km > €40k, 650 km 10-80% in 26 min Seems pretty properly placed and further illustrates the conundrum of BMW letting Mini atrophy. A2, EV2/3, nice seeing smaller EVs with enough range to replace bigger vehicles as only household option!
