WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP: The final regular season event of the 2026 season! Don't get sucked in too much by the "finish needed for the playoffs" discussion -- it's rarely predictive. What is predictive -- course history, driving accuracy, and middle irons. Take a look at this plot:

Radar plot displaying that driving accuracy and approach are most important indicators for success at Sedgefield Country Club.

I know Bluesky is an echo chamber and I’ll lose some followers for this but “you hate trans people if you play Wordle on the NYT app” is fucking insane. I love trans people. I believe they should exist and thrive and I’ll stand with them forever. Also, I love the Spelling Bee game. So fuck off.

As someone with a hook, one thing I always find fairly interesting is the disdain with which YouTube instructors talk about how to fix a hook. Every video is basically distilled into "oh god, I don't know, just do the opposite of whatever you were doing before."

Ok fine, let’s talk about Trump’s golf game. Truthfully the guy is a decent golfer. The epitome of “swing your swing” — it’s so ridiculously inside but then he finds himself in a good position at the top, a very shallow backswing with a very good move to the ball and a long, high finish.

I am trying desperately to get into PGA 2K25. I loved 2k23 but 25 is just way harder for some reason. I’m hoping if I grind on it for a while my player will get good enough where not every swing is a snap hook or a wide open push?

I do a lot of work where I need to save image files, and I'll never, ever understand why the majority of people who send me these files do so by putting them in Word documents and Excel spreadsheets. There may not be a less effective or more annoying way to send me photos.

Sometimes in my town there will be one gas station that is 5-6 cents cheaper than the others and I know it’s usually just temporary but it often reminds me that THIS IS HOW THE FREE MARKET IS SUPPOSED TO WORK, WITH BUSINESSES PRICING COMPETITIVELY FOR OUR DOLLARS WTF

I have half-baked theory that the Red Sox are fishing for a star, being linked to Trout and Witt and De La Cruz and to a lesser extent Skubal; they’re looking for a team willing to dangle a star for a haul.

ROCKET CLASSIC: Buckle up; we've got a newly renovated golf course! New renovations obviously change the ethos of the course -- and this one has been tweaked from a Par 72 to a Par 70 -- but it also tends to update and modernize a course, and finally, it typically means WAY more bouncy greens.
