See she says this but the kids would be the only easy part for me as I have no fucking clue how to do safety talks or guide the raft or deal with currents as all my boating experience has been on very calm bays. Maybe I could figure it out in time but a few kids would drown first for sure
Orthrus@orthruscomics.bsky.social · 4w agoI have no idea how the library is organized or who needs what so I'd probably be a disaster at it. I think my brother could work out how to steer a raft though. And he knows enough about the river valley and kids that he'd do well.
The Luddites loved technology. They owned looms at home and would ‘mod’ them to count threads. Their battle was against worker exploitation. The degradation of their rights, safety and wages. They were against a handful of rich businessmen owning the means of production. Sound familiar?

My friend the Michigan Strangler has died. A lot of people only know the Michigan Strangler from all that strangling he did and I understand that, but that is not the full picture of the friend he was to me when he wasn't strangling people. We used to go to Arby's. Rest in peace, "Chokey Boy."
