I am no @c0nc0rdance.bsky.social, but I have short thread to share. Microbiology students adore finding unusual types of bacterial colonies in different environments. Look at this "bicycle" colony from a marine sample on SWC medium. I love chatting with students about WHY a colony looks as it does.
