Thrilled to pre-launch the campaign for Industrial Music/Graphics, lead title for @signalspress.bsky.social. A trove of album covers and band/label identities, but also a preservation project to document these amazing designers in their own words.

Coming soon: Industrial Music/Graphics: A Visual History of a Movement

Fugazi has decided to make Steve’s entire original mix officially available for the first time in transfers pulled directly from the master tapes. This is a digital-only release and the band is donating its share of the proceeds to Letters Charity"

Just started on an archive project of someone who had been profiled and interviewed a lot, and going through their magazine collection. Some have direct or indirect relevance, but a lot are just magazines that hadn't been tossed. Reminded how much mid-80s media is just abundant cigarette ads.

A plurality of Democratic voters aren't going to suddenly start being socialists between now and November or 2028. However! A plurality of them are already one billion percent done with a party of weak, milquetoast, reach-across-the-aisle-till-they-bite-you losers desperate to return to 2000.

Democrats will likely retake the House and maybe even the Senate this fall. What they *do* with that power depends a lot on the demands we make of them now and the promises for reform and accountability we extract. They -- and the media -- need to see the midterms as a mandate for real change.

Man, I read more and more posts on social media sites about how the Dems need to reform the court, impeach people, hold people accountable, completely rebuild institutions, implement universal healthcare, etc. etc. ... and then I look around at the actual elected leaders of the party ...

Walter was back, saying “DHS says they are going after the worst of the worst. They are not. They said Renee Good ran over that ICE officer. She did not. They said Alex Pretti was an assassin but he was not so when DHS describes their facility as safe, secure and humane, they are obviously not.”

Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”
