Got a chance to play Gloom for the first time since high school—it’s still one of my favorites. I think it’s the first game that made me question whether there even needs to be distinctions between RPGs and other types of tabletop games.

I’m giving up on the oil painting experiments for now. This one was just acrylic and it turned out way better than any I used oil on. The sword was my first time trying a non metallic metal effect.

Is there no video game equivalent to the OSR blogosphere? I’m genuinely surprised I wasn’t able to find a single obsessively detailed article comparing and contrasting the way armor works in multiple major JRPG series. I thought that would be page one.
