Last year I bought a Casio F-91W for $15. I even wrote about it in my blog because it's such a cheap and resilient little watch. Today that watch costs $30. 🤯

I couldn't help myself. I've made some more funky web buttons to adorn websites with! They're such fun to put together, and the size constraint presents a lovely challenge. If anyone has any requests, I'd be open to hearing them. #88x31 #IndieWeb #SmallWeb

I've been watching lots of Downton Abbey... Lord Grantham's morning paper reading made me think of how nicely laid out newspapers are. I'm playing around with multi-column layouts and date filters on a personal #RSS aggregator. I'm liking the UX so far!

It's a myth that good ideas beat out bad ones in a capitalist market. In reality the sunk-cost fallacy means tons of bad ideas survive due to the pouring of more money into originally bad investments. That's how we get AI everywhere.

Naming blogs is a lost art form. You talk about what you're reading at The Blorbo Review? Sign me up. You review corn at Corn Corner? Hell yeah. Star Wars analysis at The High Ground? You know it.

I'm excited to announce that I'm the latest interview on Manu's People and Blogs today! manuelmoreale.com/interview/ka... I've been reading these interviews for over a year now and I'm honored to be asked to participate. I hope whoever comes to visit likes my little wee corner of the web.

Since I quit most social media, I've been wanting to create a website from scratch, but I never got to finish it. I recently stumbled upon the #smallweb or #indieweb movement, and it felt like finding my people! The web feels exciting again!

need to kill the recurring thought of "no I can't replay/reread that, I have other stuff to check out" no. I am a poor little peasant living just after the advent of the printing press. I have five books at most and I will reread them so much they will know the death of the author was caused by me

Reminder: A lot of great books published this year during absolutely bonkers news & world event times. That squashes people talking about them. Keep buying books please, keep borrowing them from libraries, and for the love of all that's good, talk about them. Post about them. 📚
