After ICE shot and killed Lorenzo Araujo, the FBI leaked to Fox News a claim that he was found with possible meth in the van. His family said it was a total falsehood; it was a bag of salt to be used to make an electrolyte drink. And they were right. It was not drugs.

The US Treasury has announced that the US Mint is beginning production of a new $1 gold coin featuring Trump’s face. This is against the law. Federal law does not allow living people to appear on U.S. currency, and the Presidential $1 Coin Act only authorizes coins honoring deceased presidents.

This is perfect example of how the Republican Party has shifted from once being comparable to your average center-right party in Europe, to now having most in common with far right, xenophobic and populist European parties like the AfD, Reform UK, Le Pen’s National Front, etc

Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina and Staunch Trump Ally, Dies at 71 Mr. Graham died of a “brief and sudden” illness on Saturday evening, his office said. Over more than two decades in the Senate, he consistently pushed for the use of U.S. military power overseas.Over his Senate career, Mr. Graham led two influential committees, Judiciary and Budget. As head of the Judiciary Committee, he oversaw the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court after the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. He also played a critical role during the 2016 fight over President Barack Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland to the court, aiding in Republicans’ success in blocking the pick.More broadly, Mr. Graham was instrumental in advancing Mr. Trump’s effort to reshape the federal judiciary.
