The only reason prisons are able to pay incarcerated individuals less than minimum wage is because the 13 amendment exempts punishment in prison from the prohibition on slavery. They're legal slaves. That doesn't apply to civil detention for immigration. It's blatantly unconstitutional.

important to stay on the facts here! California does not have a trans sports ban. Trans kids can and still do participate in sports. CIF restricted *one* event for *one* sport for *one* kid--it's terrible, but not a total ban. The more worrying part to me is then calling us "biologically male."
