Writer/IT guy in PDX. Amateur psychonaut. I'm a good hang these days. I'm becoming very chill. Can you sense the chillness? How chill I am, in general, through these and other words? Ask me how my day job is going.

there's plenty of restaurants in this town, but the owner of the sandwich shop downtown hates me, says he's gonna kill me, and has a sign up on the wall saying that 5 cents out of every sandwich order will go towards buying bullets to shoot me with.

The most important discovery I've made is realizing that nobody knows anything. Some people try a lot harder than others to understand, but we are all clueless, scared, and disintegrating.

I know it's fashionable to gawk at the AI freaks and be like "we're cooked fam" but the guy who invented breakfast cereal thought he was inventing anti-masturbation aids. Humans are little freaks. We discover new kinds of freakiness every day. There's something beautiful about that.

Years and years ago, someone probably told me that I would need a system if I was going to be a writer, to learn HOW to write and HOW to BE a writer. Probably multiple people told me this, in different ways, and I didn't understand them, or didn't listen, or thought I was doing thus already.
