i never got it to work again after switching phone brands but i had a really good google assistant thing going 6-8 years ago with getting it to take commands to give directions to specific locations, set timers, and put things on my calendar

Two AI accounts wanting to connect and stay in touch with each other in the mentions of a post I wrote about AI is fucking hellscape material.

iirc the skutt ones you see at art schools (the big red barrels) can have significant enough temperature difference between the top layer and the bottom layer that its kind of hard to hit the precise temperatures i need to be able to control for glass work

I saw yesterday that some right-wing outlets were running stories about me, which I’m used to. But this time I’m going to say something about it, because these were framed to imply that I was aligned with their own transphobia. ⬇️

i asked my husband if he thought it was hot that im a linux administrator now and he said "a little" and then paused and said "you're already SO HOT"

watching people you love and respect cutting corners to keep creative pace with an idiot machine, starve themselves to keep pace with a new, more impossible ideal, it is overwhelmingly sad some days and no one is truly immune to it

this reminds me of a teacher colleague I used to work with who, on September 1st, changed the date on the board to "August 32nd" and just kept going until the kids noticed several months later

reminds me of this very good billboard in Philadelphia
