I'm so glad you like my work. That motivates me to keep improving. Regarding the process, there's really not much to it; it's just to better visualize how you're going to shade everything later. This is how 2nd Key Animation is done in anime, actually. (the 3rd image, that's the "genga" step).

So I see lot of artist doing there work with this trick of of grey and a lighter colour so I tried it and wow it turned out so beautiful!.
