#SumLuv 28 I like HEAs for my own writing. Knowing things will turn out OK for the leads is comforting to me when reading a romance. Maybe that's because a lot of stories I like outside the genre are not happy at all 😅 I prefer a good deal of believable conflict before reaching a HEA, though.

#SumLuv 27 I have a long flashback to my MCs’ childhood, which is a bit unique to work around. I treated this section as a self-contained story. I guess book 1 is like a mountain ridge, with a few smaller bumps leading to a grand peak. It’s not an easy climb.

#AwesomeCharacters Wesley's a werewolf, so I definitely wrote him with dog traits in mind. His loyalty is probably the biggest one. He spends many years trying to reunite with Clara and help her. For Clara's most dog-like trait, maybe her curiosity about the world.

#SumLuv Mine are near the same age and neither has romantic experience. Clara’s cult kept her sheltered and isolated. Wesley has more life experience, but he’s only had eyes for Clara forever. Any other flirting would confuse him. Their dynamic is balanced, but Clara’s a bit more forward than him.
