Eyewitness video from the scene of today's ICE shooting in California appears to (you guessed it) contradict officials' claims that the man "weaponized" his vehicle. The car is reversing and the agents appear to be well clear of it.

ICE shot a man today in California. "Lyons said as ICE officers approached the car, "the wanted gang member weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run an officer over.' The ICE agents fired at Mendoza Hernandez..." Every time ICE has made this claim, it's been a lie.

I don’t care if you hate porn. Please for the love of god don’t get stuck there cognitively. Anti-porn legislation + how trans and NB people (even cis drag queens/kings) are being consistently described as sexually deviant = the groundwork is being laid for all queer expression to be made illegal.

Well, here we go. The GOP has just introduced a bill to effectively outlaw all pornography. The bill dismantles the Supreme Court's Miller Test for obscenity, removing provisions that the content be patently offensive to community standards. dailycaller.com/2025/05/08/n...

It's now been over a month since Trump sent innocent man Andry Hernández to one of the world's worst prisons because of "Mom" and "Dad" tattoos. Like the others, he is being imprisoned with no contact with the outside world. Don't let him be forgotten.

Tonight we learned that it was indeed Andry, the gay man sent to El Salvador because of his “mom” and “dad” tattoos, who an American journalist saw sobbing as guards slapped him repeatedly and shaved his head. He is an innocent. And Trump sent him to a torture prison. Bring them back!

Meta illegaly downloaded 80+ terabytes of books from LibGen, Anna's Archive, and Z-library to train their AI models. In 2010, Aaron Swartz downloaded only 70 GBs of articles from JSTOR (0.0875% of Meta). Faced $1 million in fine and 35 years in jail. Took his own life in 2013.

Last month, Meta admitted to torrenting a controversial large dataset known as LibGen, which includes tens of millions of pirated books. But details around the torrenting were murky until yesterday, when Meta's unredacted emails were made public for the first time. The new evidence showed that Meta torrented "at least 81.7 terabytes of data across multiple shadow libraries through the site Anna’s Archive, including at least 35.7 terabytes of data from Z-Library and LibGen," the authors' court filing said. And "Meta also previously torrented 80.6 terabytes of data from LibGen."

“Training” is the wrong word for what LLMs are doing with all those stolen books and artworks. They’re copying, storing, and selling. We should not play along with the use of “training” which deliberately obscures what’s happening.
