I was at our big union demonstration here a week ago, and the local metal workers union (they represent a lot of other workers now, but that was their start) is called Métallos. One of them had a baseball cap with the name written like the Metallica logo. I wished I had something to trade for it.

A few years back i was walking with my tween. We approach a group of striking nurses. She got visibly agitated and wanted to turn around. Turns out she’d so internalized the idea of not crossing a picket line, that you shouldn’t even pass one. She was trying to keep her dad from being a rat Good kid

So I won my union election earlier today. To celebrate, I joined PSA @afacwa.org flight attendants at their DFW picket line, telling them there’s nowhere else I’d rather be than under the Texas heat on the picket line with them.
