The right to strike is not an inconvenience, it's a cornerstone of our democracy. That's why the Liberal government must not use Section 107 to force flight attendants back to work, as it did with Air Canada workers last year.
Canadians won't soon forget if the Prime Minister intervenes on behalf of WestJet this time around. This strike is about basic fairness, dignity and respect. No one should be expected to work for free.

The most protected tenant is an organized tenant. Yesterday, we welcomed the 8609 Bay 16th St. Tenant Association as the 100th tenant union to organize with the City's support.
1/ More than 99% of CUPE cabin crew workers at WestJet voted in favour of a strike mandate. We've seen what Mark Carney does when workers legally exercise their rights. The Liberals have used Section 107 multiple times to stamp out worker power, forcing them back to work without a fair contract.

Why is it so important to me that Canadians understand how little the incomes of the rich were taxed in 🇨🇦 in the 1950s and 1960s? Much less than in the U.S. 🇨🇦 did not tax capital gains until 1972. The top marginal rate was high, yes, but easily avoided. Why do I want ppl to know this? 1/5
A very good thread I am re-reading on vacation and am recommending to you. The rich won't save us, even if we figure out a new way to tax them more. *We* will save us.
