Opened up the old camera box for the first time in ages, and discovered that Young Danny had a Bright Idea, which was putting 35mm film in a MF camera as an experiment. The experiment did not consider the rewinding of the film.
Survived eating the lampredotto, but only just. The cow stomach was fine, but the first bite of the chili sauce caught the back of my throat and @walkyouhome.bsky.social thought I was going to die.

I've seen people suggest you look at the eclipse through a colander. Don't do that, you'll strain your eyes.

Getting hacked off with the computer stuff in The Undeclared War. Permanently deletable files about foreign agents? GCHQ staff with a "find my family" app? Keyboard shortcuts for what we saw was a terminal command? Accessing RAM from 18 months ago? IDEs that render a line at a time with a sound?
Can't be the first to say this, but (and yay UEFA - brilliant) this works equally well if you swap out "football" for maybe "water" or "a stable climate". Look at me being the revolutionary socialist. "No one has the moral authority to sell what they merely hold in trust for the next generation."
Not that the fire in Suffolk isn't terrible, but the difference in BBC coverage between that and the fire in the Cairngorms doesn't help with the reputation for anglocentrism
