Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.

"Hey bro, if the model is giving you bad code, you were just prompting it wrong the whole time" ... so you're saying the solution is to provide sufficiently specific and detailed instructions to a machine so that it understands what to do? Kinda like code?
"People skilled in C++ also follow these people" Go home LinkedIn, you're drunk
Guys, I know how Claude Code leaked! Anthropic forgot to put "Don't leak our source code to NPM" in their system prompt 🙃
I’m fucking crying dude. Asking “pretty please do not introduce a security vulnerability”.
I found out my GB blog post put out almost 70 GB (!!) of traffic when it was shared on Hacker News. Vercel sent me a nice warning about it. The main culprit was a 2.8 MB webm video that almost everyone who visits seems to load.
Someone on the gbdev Discord server asked if I used environment maps for my Game Boy Shader. I said no, but was intrigued by the idea. So I prototyped it in Blender. Each pixel is a spherical coord that maps to a 8x32 lookup table (for 256 values). It seems possible to store 1 byte per pixel 👀
I was drafting a slightly passive-aggressive LinkedIn article, on and off for a month, about the use of AI to talk to other people Every time I log onto LinkedIn, I have an increasingly stronger urge to finish it lmao
Post GB homebrew on Bsky: 10 likes Post it on LinkedIn: 4 likes Post it on YouTube: Basically as if nothing happened Someone else posts it on Reddit two months later, makes its way back here: WAKE UP TO NOTIFICATIONS BLOWING UP ON BSKY, WHAT
Rule of computability: If it can run a NAND gate and loop, then it can run Doom. Also, Blender's Geometry nodes has a "Not And" node in it. How interesting... 👀

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up. I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.
I'll share some old projects for Bsky: I made an adding machine in #Doom in 2022, with just doors and teleporters. It runs on the MS-DOS Doom II. It's groovy! The machine is modeled with binary decision diagrams. The code to generate the WAD is in #Clojure. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZVC...

"Enter the age of AI", "Embrace AI", "It's here to stay", "Adapt or die", "Sacrifice your RAM 🔪", "Whether you like it or not, there's no going back"... Guys, does the messaging sound strange and creepy at all?
Whenever I see AI slop on LinkedIn from companies that should know better, I'm just going to give notes. I saw this from a recruiter for a major multimedia company.
