I’ll never forget the time I was outside a drag bar when a woman started telling a queen, who at the time was named Sister Fibrosis, how she was offended by her drag name. And Sister took a drag of her cigarette and just said “ok”.

I guess the thing for me is that ofer and over Ive seen that performers (drag or not) will see a child and stop a show to get them out of a show meant for adults. Every time and with no qualms.

This is definitely interesting. It’s probably worth noting in high dimensions that mixed sobolev spaces are much smoother than usual sobolev spaces. So think of this kernel as closer to a squared exponential than a Matern-1. But still rough enough that the paths aren’t analytic.

So there's a thing happening on open-source repos: people who are otherwise uninterested in your project but want to obtain clout will file mediocre PRs against your repo anyway. So: community tarpits? Create a legit-looking repo with a bunch of open issues, wait for PRs, blacklist those accounts

Not so much for the language itself but the way it reflects an amazingly useful way to think about structuring & manipulating data. You won't regret the way it rearranges your brain, even if you don't end up writing much of it.
