Since Gaza the coverage by Canadian Press has gone from one-sided pro Israel to outright propaganda to actively fanning disinformation and fear. These headlines have dangerous geopolitical implications with Trump's open threat against Canada. But the @thestar.com helps spread the BS.
Most people in the world are decent and oppose genocide. Most people are also powerless. Power to the people.
UofT features prominently in @breachmedia.ca article. 2 points to consider: 1. UofT initiated network of communications between 30 universities/colleges across Canada. 2.Rather than facilitate existing policies on academic freedom/Charter rights, strategies were shared to actively suppress rights.

The film centers Odysseus's guilt over his war crimes, but never shows us the POV of his victims, and instead glorifies the perpetrator for feeling bad about himself. I found this unsatisfying ethically and worse, imaginatively, because Damon's character is given only one mood (Troubled).

Bill C-2 creates extra surveillance powers to further criminalize Indigenous people (and allies) resisting the "national interest" projects C-5 enables.
Why does every single American news photo of Iran include an Iranian propaganda poster or mural? It's just another example of how America's own propaganda machine flattens and dehumanizes supposed enemies. Just point the camera another direction for once and show us what's there.
