Just finished watching False Memory and I am an emotional disaster. It's been so long since an anime (or donghua in this case) has made me feel these emotions. The FLCL comparisons are apt, but this is its own achievement entirely. I'm so excited to rewatch this for decades to come. Masterpiece.

Subtitles in cutscenes are not transcribed directly from the voiceover, but translated automatically from the Japanese subtitle texts. Because of this, the subtitles and the voices don’t match. But this should not be a big deal because you can just listen to the voices (they are in English already).

That I've seen so many Silent Hill: Townfall reviews stating that it's the first first-person entry in the series is a real testament to the enduring legacy of Silent Hill: The Short Message.

Happy to report that Silent Hill f still absolutely fucking rips and is one of the best horror games of all time.
