Not one for theories of everything (other than the housing theory of everything, duh), but I do think "we undermined the material basis for patriarchy without destroying its grip on the collective imagination, thereby driving many people insane" is a sort of skeleton key to most of what's happening.

Seems odd (to me) that Posit is promoting dbt over {targets}, the time-honored, pure #rstats solution to this very problem.

It shouldn’t be forgotten that a big piece of Mamdani’s campaign was simply “cities are cool and lots of people enjoy living in them” which in and of itself dismantles alot of rightwing talking points

The backstory here is that the Squamish people of what is now Vancouver were illegally dispossessed of this land a century ago. They sued, got their land back, and are using their sovereignty to ignore local zoning rules and build 6,000 new homes over the objections of nearby wealthy NIMBYs.

The Three Towers of Phase 1 of Sen̓áḵw nearing completion! senakw.com Pictured from near the Vancouver Academy of Music in what is now Vanier Park, but what was once yet another part of the old village of Sen̓áḵw and former Kitsilano 6 Reserve.

Finally checked the Use Native Pipe Operator RStudio #rstats option. For those constantly piping into [Vv]iew(), a small advantage to the native pipe is that the 'title' argument gets automatically supplied as the function call instead of the cryptic '.' from magrittr.

Unironically yes--to quote the scientists at the IPCC in a report on the MITIGATION OF CLIMATE CHANGE: '...cities will achieve the largest GHG emissions savings by replacing, repurposing, or retrofitting the building stock, targeted infilling and densifying...'
