@daryllmarie.bsky.social has a number of feeds for mammals, marine life etc. all really good (like her birds feed). And the #BirdOfTheDay hashtag is great - haven’t seen anything suspect on there, just animal lovers and a range of photo skills all enjoying birds and nature
There are also lots of excellent, curated feeds where you can find genuine animal photos. The Birds Feed is all vetted. No AI, only real photographers and artists (6/?)

Look at this beautiful western rattler at San Elijo Lagoon! Very chill, didn’t even rattle as I stepped over 🐍 on our return trip on this out-and-back trail it’d shifted a bit so we could see its size a bit better, and it was a decent chunker! 🌿 #herps
Returned yesterday from the 10th offshore fieldwork trip of my PhD so far! 🦑🧪 Celebrating with an impromptu trip back home to SoCal to spend next week with my family 😌 red-shouldered hawk pics surely coming soon! 🪶 but first, one final evening excursion for some last-minute river fieldwork!

8 hours of pelagic birding in the offshore waters of New Hampshire/Maine/Massachusetts today! 43 bird species, including 3 lifers 🥧🪶 the highlight was a thick-billed murre (pictured), only the 3rd June record for NH! Other pictured: northern fulmar, great shearwater, and red-necked phalarope 🦑🌿

Sometimes birding is a planned excursion. Sometimes it’s walking out your front door and finding a huge pileated woodpecker standing right there destroying a tree stump 🪶🌿

With all this talk about birds I want to be sure everyone knows about the Birds Feed. All birds all the time, posted by real photographers and artists and no AI slop!
More boat birds! 🪶🌿 pictured: savannah sparrow and palm warbler that stopped to rest on our vessel, horned grebe and brant seen in the waters of the harbor upon our return.
Never thought l'd take my best northern flicker photo ever offshore on the deck of a vessel! 🪶🌿 We've had some interesting bird visitors, mostly migrators likely enjoying a platform to rest on mid-journey. Highlights included a palm warbler, a savannah sparrow, and a ruby-crowned kinglet.
