there is an entire industry of people who give their opinion or predict how things are going to go and their entire job is to be correct are they ever correct? rarely. are there repercussions for being wrong, the thing they are being paid not to be? haha no, no there are not
Wrestling is fantastic, because you can find a photo like this and in all honesty you can say, "yes, this depicts two men who both had trade meetings with Fidel Castro against the wishes of their governments".

It’s so funny (and even more telling) that the owners of professional sports teams acknowledge that there’s a problem with having an enormous wealth gap, but it only matters to them when it’s the difference between different magnitudes of billionaire.
Since Covid is in the news again for... reasons, two things strike me from 2020: 1.) How news outlets used the phrase "So Americans can get back to work" during lockdowns. 2.) The behavior change among certain people the minute we knew who was dying/disproportionately at risk of dying from Covid.
More local, state, and federal politicians who can cut scathing promos on rooty poo candy asses (conservatives and right-wing nutjobs) please.

Whenever I travel I always have a ”right, I’m not in Texas anymore” moment. Today it came just walking around DTLA and realizing I was no longer surrounded by rednecks in ”tactical” clothing or dudes with broccoli top haircuts and t-shirts with performative Christian slogans.
This thing must have been beyond its sell-by date by the time it was published.
