...Wait is the law worldwide? Because if not aren't the sex tattoos in the "purge but for sex" movie going to cause every American to just constantly have casual sex with foreigners? And if so is there a one world government?

Sadly these are the organized thoughts.
I don't really have much of a desire to see this movie but I would watch a fake documentary from like 10 years after the law is repealed exploring all the ways it was a total failure on the order of prohibition.
i'm locked in on this film sorry to anyone else
I was a little worried about the new GiTS because the first episode threw a LOT of proper nouns out there even for me but I should have had faith because it settles down in episode 2 and Science SARU remains undefeated.
The problem with “the purge but for sex” is that it’s a silly idea that makes just enough sense that you have to work out the logistics. It’s gotta be something where people will just go “oh so it doesn’t matter” like there’s one day a year where the abstinence wizard is asleep or capitalism did it.
Instead of directly looking at election returns I'm just seeing which accounts are saying we need to support the nominee no matter who it is to tell who's winning in Michigan.
I actually tried very hard not to learn anything about the Michigan primary which is how I have seen a picture of Haley Stevens for the first time today and that's a "I'd vote for a woman but not that woman" woman. I do not have any opinion on if it's good or bad that she's doomed but she's doomed.
I think it's sad that neoliberal just means "I don't like this and It's probably best to assume I'm an idiot" now. I think it would have been a good word to have mean something about neoliberalism.
I love that people are very angry that there's guns in a fantasy setting in the new Fire Emblem when the previous game in this same setting had an ICBM.
The thing about Odyssey discourse is that we allowed the professors to break containment. The whole purpose of the university system was to find a humane way to segregate them from mainstream society.
Wait the main community with an existing vendetta against Hank Green outside the AI stuff is knitters? Oh that man is DEAD dead. RIP to a real one. Every knitter is that "John Wick is a man of extraordinary focus" speech.
Google Glass was 12 years ago and a dude like instantly got punched in the face for wearing them and everybody basically went "yeah, fair." Why are we still pretending like smart glasses should be a camera and not a display?
Okay I've been waiting to read Blades '68 until I got my physical copy and in just 5 pages this is way more my jam than original flavor Duskvol. Dystopian steampunk is cool and all but dystopian Man From U.N.C.L.E. where the sky canonically goes full psychedelic during golden hour is...chef's kiss
Wait is the Morton Salt Girl a conceptual being like the Endless where she just exists wherever and whenever there is salt?
Bet you didn't know that the Little Morton Salt Girl is an immortal being who existed before there was life on Earth.
Bluesky is more interested in developing AT Protocol than pleasing its users because the only way anybody ever figured out to make money from having a lot of users on your microblogging site is to dare a rich fascist to overpay for it.
I know there are solid macroeconomic arguments why this might not work that very smart people I follow are convinced by but "you know how to spend your tax dollars better than the government does" is disproven by meeting an singular taxpayer.
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
The Hank Green discourse has reached ”is productivity bourgeois?” so I’m going to go jump off something.
Eric Adams going around the country trying to sell marching band equipment to small towns while warning of the dangers of pool halls would be the most on-brand thing for him possible.
Instead, I think, the dopamine hit is that they can do a lot of interesting things very rapidly, and it can start feeling like all kinds of OTHER things are possible, and you can start getting into a loop of seeming wildly productive.
I love when people are like “checking in on the Dem establishment” and then it’s a terrible tweet by somebody named like Grinelda Branderbronder who runs a substack with 37 subscribers about defeating Trump by letting dogs vote.
Having abstained from comment until now I’ll simply state that what happened with the Michigan primary is what I always knew would happen and it confirms all my priors. Claude please post at 10pm PST on tuesday.
In my opinion a gigantic fuckoff spider shouldn‘t have been nesting on the inside of my drivers side door and if they were that insistent on it I think it would have been polite of them to say something BEFORE I got inside the car.
Social constructs are just something big academia invented to sell more social constructs
